What is WE Dance?

The moves of the WE Day movement, WE Dance is an easy and exciting way to channel your world-changing energy, and a fun and unexpected way to draw attention to your cause. Like WE Day, WE Dance brings young people of all personalities and backgrounds together to inspire action. Learn the moves at weday.com/wedaydance and join the dance party!

This year WE Day partnered with WE Day Ambassador and hip hop artist Kardinal Offishall to create a unique song for WE Dance. From the studio to the stadium, “We Turn It Up” is the anthem of this year’s WE Day.

Why We Dance?

Dance and music bring everyone together. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from or what you do—you’ve got your own beat to bring to the mix. Whether in flash mobs, group performances or at WE Day itself, We Dance brings youth together for a cause and shows the world that it’s cool to care.

Where Can I see The Video?

You can see the video at weday.com/wedaydance

How can I share the song/get others involved?

There are so many ways to spread the message. You can share the video on Twitter and Instagram. You can take WE Dance challenges on WE365. You can use it as a ringtone or as the opening song at a school dance. You can even use it to draw attention to your WE Act cause through a group dance or a flash mob. The choice is up to you!

How else can I participate in WE Day?

There are so many ways to participate in WE Day in addition to WE Dance. WE Act campaigns help you to earn your ticket to the event, while volunteer positions at WE Day can help you see the show from a different perspective. You can also watch the live broadcast of every WE Day event on weday.com. If you’re a solo student looking to take action, we also have a youth programming team that works with youth one-on-one to help them find ways to get involved.

Will we be WE Dancing at WE Day?

Of course! WE Day is dedicated to celebrating your power to create change, and there’s no better way to celebrate than dancing.

How is Kardinal Offishall involved with WE Day?

Kardinal has been a WE Charity Ambassador since 2011. Since then, he has lent his voice to WE Days across Canada. This past summer, he visited WE Charity-partnered communities in Kenya to help build a school. Now he’s partnered with WE Charity to transform his single “Turn It Up” into the official WE Dance song “We Turn It Up.” Check out WE Day talent releases to see if he’ll be at a WE Day near you!

Why are there so many different types of dancing in the video?
Dance and music bring everyone together. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from or what you do—you’ve got your own moves to bring to the mix. Whether you’re break dancing, doing ballet, or just showing off your own personal style, there’s room for you on the WE Dance Floor!
