WE Day Manitoba 2015: The Recap

Manitoba! What an incredible day.

We saw 16,000 young world changers step into the MTS Centre to celebrate their collective impact, and get inspired to keep making our world a better place.

With all the tragedy happening in the world, it’s more important than ever that WE come together for positive change. When we combine our dreams, passions, and efforts, we can truly make a difference.

Today, we heard from speakers like former U.S. Army soldier JR Martinez and witnessed a powerful interview between Activist Amanda Lindhout and inspiring Aboriginal youth Rinelle Harper. Of course, WE Day wouldn’t be the same without our incredible performers like BAE and Tyler Shaw.

Here are the WE Day Manitoba 2015 highlights!

Aboriginal rights and culture is such an important topic.  Wab Kinew, Waneek Horn Miller, and Tom Jackson came together for an Aboriginal panel discussion talking about the challenges they overcame to get to where they are now. Moral of the story: never give up.

Now for anther powerful convo. Activist Amanda Lindhout interviewed the brave and inspiring Aboriginal teen Rinelle Harper.

JUNO Award-winning artist Tyler Shaw lit up the stage with his performance of House of Cards.

We all had our WE signs up as Award-winning rap artist and Free The Children ambassador Kardinal Offishall took the stage for our finale performance.

What did WE learn today? WE are powerful and WE will change the world. Thank you Manitoba!
