Growing up, Mary Koech wanted to be a teacher. But financial restraints held her education back. In 2018, WE partnered with Lipton to provide financial literacy and business training to 150,000 people in tea farming communities in Kenya over three years. Koech was part of the inaugural training. She hasn’t stopped learning, and she’s using her training to inspire and empower more women in her community.
