Humanitarian giant and former United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, told a stadium full of thousands of youth: “When I look at the young people… their attitude, their determination to make a difference, their innovative spirit and their desire to change things, gives me hope.” As the world mourns the passing of this global leader, his legacy continues to inspire and unite. In conversation with Craig Kielburger at WE Day Vancouver in 2013, Mr. Annan shares personal anecdotes, admiration for educators everywhere and calls on young people to have the “courage and strength” to take on the issues they care about.
