“We loved having a WE Schools workshop at school. It was so inspiring to see our students think about the wider community and be able to express their feelings towards issues that they feel strongly about.”

Inspirational School Speaking Tours

Our WE Schools programme offers a range of free opportunities to schools across the UK, including inspirational assemblies, workshops and educational resources.

Our assemblies educate students about local and global issues and inspire them to take action on a cause that they are passionate about. Through a multimedia experience, our young, dynamic speakers share personal stories that highlight the importance of active citizenship, and the power that one person has to change the world. Following the assembly, our free, interactive leadership workshops help students identify issues that they care about and develop tangible action plans to make a difference in their local and global communities.

Through their unique stories, our engaging team inspires with incredible ways to get involved and transform the world through active global citizenship.

Our Speaking Tours are Effective Because:
  1. Deliberate and powerful storytelling decreases student apathy
  2. Sharing stories of engaged young people increases rates of student volunteerism
  3. Discussion teaches young people how to plan actions using their passions and gifts

Book a Speaker

We have a variety of inspirational speaking tours available for your school. However, please note that due to high demand we typically book our speakers at least two to three months in advance. If you have any queries about our WE Schools programme, please connect with your WE Schools Coordinator or call 020 7978 5225.

Virgin Atlantic “Be The Change”

“Be The Change” is our pioneering educational programme generously sponsored by our partner Virgin Atlantic. Through “Be The Change”, we offer free inspirational assemblies and workshops for schools. Your students can:

  • Hear from young, dynamic speakers from WE
  • Build leadership skills
  • Create an action plan to make a difference in their local and global communities

All WE Schools programmes follow a model consisting of three main components: educate, engage, and empower. The assembly educates students about local and global issues, with a focus on the environment, inspiring them to take action on issues that spark their interest. Then, the workshop will help students identify the issues they are passionate about and develop tangible action plans to address these issues.

Team London Young Ambassadors

WE has partnered with Team London to deliver the Team London Young Ambassadors programme in schools across the capital.

Team London Young Ambassadors is the Mayor’s volunteering programme for schools which inspires primary and secondary school students across London to volunteer and make a positive difference in their local community.

Through this programme, young Londoners develop their leadership and teamwork skills by starting their own volunteer projects in their local communities. Teachers and students are provided with ongoing support and resources to help them fulfil their projects and to build the next generation of London volunteers.

Since launching in September 2013, the programme has worked with over 1,800 schools, enabling more than 375,000 young Londoners to take action and improve their local area with projects from homelessness to bullying, gardening to community spirit.
