This past summer, Lilly Singh returned to Kenya on a second ME to WE trip to the Maasai Mara—this time, with her family. While there, her passion for women’s empowerment was stoked—an inevitability when meeting the community’s tenacious female leaders. Before she left, she sat down with the Mamas—local artisans trained in traditional beadwork—and created a new #GirlLove Rafiki for ME to WE. From behind the scenes of our photo shoot with Lilly, we talk to the YouTube megastar about her trip and the meaning behind ME to WE’s latest creation.
